9^th RASLINA SWIMMING MARATHON 2018

COMPETITION RULES – 1.500 m

Organization: SOCIETY OF SPORTS AND RECREATION RASLINA

MARATHON PATH

• Swimming Marathon (in further text the competition) is held at Lake Prokljan in a length of 1.500 m from the start point in Raslina, wher from the swimers take a the length of the path up to 750 m (which is marked with a buoy) where from is a turning point the and the swimers make a turn to the right side and continue to swim along the path back to the finish line which marks also the start.
• The water is brackish, very pleasant for swimming.

PARTICIPATION

• The competition can be joined by members of sport and recreation clubs from Croatia and abroad.
• Women and men appear simultaneously, but the results are evaluated separately.
• Persons under 18 years may compete only if they had a signed statement that states that the person under 18 years can participate on the 5000m long Swimming Marathon. Template of the statement is available on the raslina5km.com.hr

Competitors compete in the following categories:

1. ABSOLUTE CATEGORY (M / F)

2. AGE CATEGORIES (M / F)

• category up to 19 years (M / F)
• category of 20-39 years (M / F)
• category of 40 years and over (M / F)

3. OTHER CATEGORIES (M / F)

• „Best native - Raslina“ (M / F)

AWARDS

Awards by categories:

1. ABSOLUTE CATEGORY (M / F)

• place - trophy, symbolic rewards +
• place - trophy, symbolic rewards +
• 3 place - trophy. symbolic rewards +

2. AGE CATEGORIES (M / F)

• The first three places in the category – Medals

3. OTHER CATEGORIES (M / F)

Each contestant gets a T-shirt and a certificate of attendance. For all contestants food and drinks are provided. Certificates of attendance will not be distributed at the day of the marathon, they will be uploaded in electronic form the next day on www.raslina5km.com.hr  and will be avaliable for printing.

COMPETITION RULES

• Each contestant performs on his own responsibility – each contestant does recognize that whit his own signature after completing the Application for participation in the marathon, the responsibility is not transmitted to the organizers of the competition even in the case of higher force (force majeure).
• For swimers (contestant) under 18 years the responsibility is guaranteeing a parent or guardian with his signature. The application is signed (Statement) by a parent / guardian which is allowing the participation of underage competitors in the race.
• Minor parties without a parent / guardian will not be allowed to participate in the competition.

REGISTRATION

• Participation in the competition can be made via the Internet stotinka.hr. The participation cannot be made later then July 20th (Friday) till midnight.
• A competitor is eligible to take participation on the Marathon after the properly completed application for at least 1 hour before the start of the Marathon.
• The competition starts on July 21st (Saturday) at 10.00 am and ends one hour after the start (1:00), at 11:00.
• Competitors who have completed the race within this time will be a parth of the official race ranking

REGISTRATION FEE

• The registration for the competition costs 60.00 HRK and is paid on the day of the marathon at the info desk.

ACCOMMODATION

OTHER INFO

• The organizer of the event provides a medical service and rescue team.
• Competitors have an escort boat during the Marathon

• Unapprowed swimsuits can be used but the swimmer then competes outside of the competition.

DURING THE COMPETITION THE FOLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE PROHIBITED (automatic disqualification):

• shortening the path
• Any physical conflict in the contest (hitting, pulling competitors, etc.)
• contact with lifeboats (in order to get rest, etc.)

FINAL STATEMENT

The organizer has the right to amendment proposition for the competition.

Regulations

• By signing the registration form contestants agree to be fully responsible for their participation in the race. Responsibility cannot be transmitted to the organizers of the competition even in the case of higher force.
• For swimmers under the age of 18, the responsibility is guaranteed by a parent or guardian with their signature.
