RULES OF 36TH PLITVICE MARATHON
1. All competitors are required to adhere to all epidemiological rules and guidelines
prescribed by Croatian government, local government and the organizer that will be valid
on race day
2. All competitors are required to wear protective face mask when picking up their race
numbers
3. In case of race cancellation due to severe weather rescheduling of the race start is
possible
4. In case of race cancellation due to COVID-19 pandemic the organizer is not obliged to
refund the admission fee
5. In case of race cancellation competitors can chose between transfer of the admission
fee to some other race organized by Athletic club Plitvice or they can pick up their starter
pack with previous arrangement with the organizer
6. Starter pack can be sent via mail but in that case the competitors will pay for the
shipping
7. On marathon, half-marathon and 10k race all Croatian Athletic Federation and
international athletic rules apply

8. Race number must be worn and visible on chest of the competitors, con-compliance
with this rule can result in disqualification
9. By paying the registration fee all competitors give consent to be photographed during,
before and after the race. The same photographs can be published and official website,
social and all other media
10. Competitors that have already passed through the race line are not allowed to walk
along the start/end zone with their chip timer still attached (race number)
11. In case of withdrawal from the race competitors are obliged to inform the race
organizer. Non-compliance to this rule can result in bans on future races.
12. All race result appeals are to be sent to organizer e-mail within the set time for the
appeals (before the award ceremony), otherwise eventual appeals will not be reviewed
and the race results will become official
13. In case that the marathon race is also a Croatian Marathon Championship elite
runners can be separated from others and entrance to the start zone will be forbidden
without the permission of the organizer unless it’s not otherwise decided
